Online chat-rooms are great for communicating quickly with others, be it parents, friends or business acquantances. It is very easy to send messages, generally through a simple online interface that can be accessed from any computer in the world, as long as the operator has sufficent credentials. Be aware however that online predators can use the same channels to reach innocent and naive children, without the correct supervision and precautions.
